Scientific Solutions to Common Sleep Problems

Modern urban living can bring with it a myriad of distractions, making it harder and harder to get a good night’s sleep. Ideally we are supposed to get seven to nine hours of sleep, but many Americans don’t hit that target every night. Sleep has incredible health benefits, like boosting metabolism, improving our memories, and even making us generally happier. If you face any one of these common sleep problems, here’s what science says you should do.

Shoulder Pain

Using the right pillows in the correct manner is the best way to keep all sorts of aches and pains at bay. If you happen to find yourself waking up with a sore shoulder, try hugging the pillow when you sleep.

Avoid sleeping on your side. If you do sleep on your side, you will have pain in only shoulder, so maybe you can try sleeping on the other side.
